The Beautiful Blue

On my last trip to Belitung I re-visited this beautiful place, actually the story behind this beautiful scenery is kind of sad. This lake was formed due to abandoned large holes created by kaolin mining. Belitung is an island filled with beautiful paradises but she has lots of holes too created by abandoned mining of kaolin and lead. If you've been there you most probably have spotted holes looking like lakes from above the sky on your flight before landing at Belitung.

Despite of its sad story, this Kaolin lake is truly a beautiful mess, A mesmerizing one too! Who won't feel calm and serenity at this view, I really love coming here because looking at the view itself relax my mind.

Hopefully they'll preserve it's beauty and keep it clean even with the increasing visitors.

Tips: Visit on days when its bright and sunny because that will make the lake look even more blue!
